This policy describes what information Scope Energy NYC ("we," "us") collects through this website, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We've written it in plain language on purpose — if anything here is unclear, email us at info@scopenycenergy.com and we'll explain it plainly.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you request an exposure report, a portfolio review, or book a call, we collect what you enter in the form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), your role, and information about your building or portfolio — address, building type, size, heating system, and filing status.
Information generated by our tools. When you use the penalty calculator and then request a report, your submission includes the estimate you were viewing (building size, estimated emissions, cap, and penalty), so we can respond accurately.
Building data. The emissions and penalty figures our tools display are modeled from public New York City benchmarking disclosures (Local Law 84/97 datasets). This is public information about buildings, not personal information about you.
What we don't collect. The calculator runs entirely in your browser — using it sends us nothing. We don't run third-party advertising trackers on this site. Our website platform (Wakato) may collect standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) needed to serve and secure the site.
How we use it
- To prepare and send you the exposure report or portfolio review you asked for;
- To respond when you contact us and to schedule calls you book;
- To follow up about your inquiry — individually, by a human;
- To improve our building model and services.
What we don't do: we don't sell or rent your information to anyone, and we don't add you to automated marketing sequences. If you ask for a report, you get the report — not a drip campaign.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers who operate this website and our business tools (hosting, forms, scheduling, and email delivery are provided by the Wakato platform), and where required by law. These providers process your information to provide their service to us, not for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry and lead information for as long as it's relevant to a real or potential engagement. If you'd like your information deleted, email us and we'll delete it — no process, no delay games.
Your choices
- Access or deletion: email info@scopenycenergy.com and we'll confirm what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it.
- Email: any email we send you includes a way to tell us to stop. Telling us once is enough.
- Phone: if you give us your number and later prefer email only, say so and we'll note it.
Security
Your information is stored on the Wakato platform, which uses access controls and encrypted connections. No internet service can promise perfect security, and we won't pretend otherwise — but we limit what we collect in the first place, which is the best protection there is.
Children
This site is for building owners, board members, and property professionals. It isn't directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top. Meaningful changes will be noted plainly, not buried.
